Glenda Faye Shaw

Glenda Faye O’Neal was born April 17, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas to RL Sr. and Noma O’Neal. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joe Shaw; her daughter, Shannon; and her sons, Chris, and Erin; her grandson Nicholas; her granddaughter, Grace Shaw; her siblings, Raleigh Lee Jr. & wife Vivian O’Neal , Barbara & Ken Carter, Stanley & Cellie O’Neal, Sylvia & John Coburn, and Alan & Kathy O’Neal; and many nieces and nephews.

Glenda and Joe meet in 1968 at the pool. It wasn’t love at first sight, to say the least. That quickly changed, and over time they became inseparable. They were married on January 24, 1969 at the University avenue Church of Christ. They moved to Round Rock in 1976. There they had a good life together. They raised a family with laughter and happiness. They enjoyed cooking, antiquing, and spending time with their best friends the Uhrig's Neely's . Then at the age of 54 Glenda had a stroke that left her paralyzed on her left side. Joe made a promise to God, that if he let her live he would take care of her for the rest of their lives. He faithfully kept that promise until her death on January 28, 2018. There will be a Memorial Service held at Hutto Bible Church Sunday Feb. 11 ,2018 at 3:00 pm.
