George Sims Jr was born in Taylor Tx on April 10, 1959 to the late George Sims Sr, and Clorine Sims. He graduated from Granger ISD. He married Teresa Kemp on July 13, 1979; they were married for 45 years.
George worked as an Owner Operator for Sims 4 Trucking for 10 years. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking BBQ. Swapping trucking stories with his son. Sitting on the bank fishing with his Daughter. Watching his grandkids grow and sharing his trade secrets with them. Traveling with his beloved wife. It was the simple things in life that were his greatest joys.
George Sims is survived by Teresa Sims, spouse; children, Kendral Davis and Ketric Sims and wife Ashley; brother, Earl Sims; sister, Lavera Johnson; grandchildren, Autumn and Sheldon Sims; nephews, Bradley Sims and Jaron Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
George Sims is preceded in death by his parents George and Clorine Sims, and his two grandchildren Zonathan and Zayden.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday August 8, at 11am at The First Baptist Church of Seminole, TX. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 10, at 2pm at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor, TX. Burial will follow at Granger City Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Ketric Sims, Sheldon Sims, Earl Sims, Malcolm Hooper, Brian Jones, Cottie Sims, Michael Flower, Rodney White.
Bryan Galloway, Elroy Marshall, Freddy Blaine, Willie Fitzgerald, Quinn James, Doug Strait, Troy White will serve as pallbearers.
