She was the daughter of Leon and Harriet Brimm, and sister of Bill Brimm, to whom she went to meet in Heaven.
Jean was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky and moved to Florida in the late 1950's. She attended Brewser Adult to obtain her L.P.N. license, then later in her career, she then went on to Hillsborough Community College to earn her R.N. degree. She specialized in Enterostomal Therapy and wore many hats at Tampa General Hospital. She retired after 30 years of nursing.
She and Ray would have been married for 29 years on October 29th. They shared many life adventures, from Scotland and Ireland, to traveling the USA on the historical Route 66 in their Corvette and cruising to Alaska.
Jean was on the ladies' golf team "The 49'ers" at Whispering Oaks Golf Course.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Meade; her daughter, Deborah Nigro and husband Ed; her son, Steven Posey and wife Margie; grandchildren: Edward "Eddie" Nigro, Randi Jean Martin, Michael Posey, and Dallas Posey; great grandchildren: Braeden Martin, Caeden Nigro, Kaiya Nigro, Emersyn Nigro, Julian Posey, and Giovanni Posey; nephew, Leon Brimm(Jenni); nieces: Nicole"Nikki" Brimm (Cynthia), and Celina Brimm Hayden (David).
A visitation for Jean will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
Jean's final resting place will be Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610.
