Teresa De Jesus Artigas (Naña) was born on September 20, 1932 and was called home to God on September 5, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, Naña, Titi, and friend. Born and raised in Bejucal, Cuba, she came to the U.S. at 29 years old. She was a resident of West Tampa for 60 years with her beloved husband, Luis Artigas and their only daughter, Teresa.
Naña was the oldest of 4, she always worked hard to provide for her family. She was a devoted Catholic, who lit a candle and prayed daily. She dedicated her life to Jesus and her family. Naña was a healer through prayers and cosemientos. She brought a smile to everyone’s face and had the most contagious laugh.
Teresa is survived by her only daughter, Teresa Tapia (Rey Martin), 2 granddaughters, Adrianne Freeman (Jimmy Freeman) and Alyssa Eubanks (Cody Eubanks),
3 great-grandchildren (Evelyn, Savannah and Liam), nieces, nephews and her sister, Olga Gonzalez.
Teresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband Luis Artigas, brother, Enrique Romero, sister, Consuelo Rivera and devoted parents Teodoro and Ana Luisa Romero.
