I miss Susan so very very much.  She added such joy laughter and love to my life.  I can only imagine how Susan's family feels.  I miss her, always.  She will remain forever in my heart.

Sitting here watching a stormy day and remembering sitting at Pirate's Cove in our cabin. Susan and Dave and Sid and I, relaxing and watching the rain. Our cardinals visit and it always makes us think about Susan.
Thinking of our fishing expeditions especially our encounter with the Coast Guard!! Not a day passes that we don't miss her!!!! So many wonderful memories where we always laugh and cry. A true friend and caring person!

Our sweet, loving, kind and beautiful Susan will be so missed!  We first met doing what we all loved to do FISH! Our lives were made better by knowing her and being loved by her. Dave and Susan were devoted to each other and it made it so AWESOME to be around them. We laughed alot and cried too.  The Lord has his special angel with him now.      You were an amazing person in "so" many ways.  My family and I are very, very fortunate to have had you in our lives in the many ways we did.  We are filled with appreciation, love and memories of you,  FOREVER!!  You're very aware of how I feel, how much I love you, how much you mean to me, how much I'll miss you and how devastated I am for losing you.  I know,  the hearts of all of us, Friends and Family, will forever be missing a huge piece.  Always.


Susan was the greatest woman I have ever met. She touched my heart and the hearts of so many others. She was such a genuine, kind and just the most sweet hearted person i could have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  She made such a big impact on my life.  And I will forever be grateful to have known her. 
She is so incredibly loved. And will be missed  beyond measures.

We are so terribly saddened that we have lost our friend. Susan was an extremely thoughtful person who always took the time to help and comfort her friends.  Susan sat with my parents all day on multiple occasions to support them as they went through medical procedures. I was deeply touched when I went to visit my dad to find that Susan had been sitting there all day to support my mom while he was in surgery, Susan demonstrated her kindness through her actions. She always went out of her way to say hello to me at the gym.  I have a special bond with Dave and Susan as we encouraged each other.

 Susan was the glue that holds together so many groups of friends. She will be missed terribly.  

So very saddened to hear of Susan's passing.  We grew up together in Northwood Hills area of Columbia, SC.  Many fond memories playing with cherry bombs (yeah, we had those back then) in the creek and other mischievous and innocent fun.  I reconnected with Susan through FB several years ago and we became good pals again.  Unfortunately, I didn't keep up.  Susan, if you can read this, I'm so sorry I wasn't a better friend the past few years.  We shared the same values and political views, so talking was easy.  I will see you in the twinkling of an eye, Susan.   Love ya!

A small group of friends would try to meet with Susan every Wednesday for lunch. It gave us a chance to catch-up on family activities. Susan was a very warm and loving person. Everyone whom she met became her new friend and everyone loved her. She and Dave are a special couple and were always welcomed in any circle of friends. Susan is already missed by all who knew her.

I met Susan many years ago when Dave was with Whirlpool and a member of the FHBA Board of Directors.  At that time, I admired how much love and admiration these two had for each other. When Susan got sick, Dave was the solid rock she needed and I once again admired how he took such care and made sure she was able to always be by his side. I will miss seeing them together but know she is now at peace and an angel from heaven. God Bless you Susan. You will be missed by so many but we were blessed to have you in our lives. You taught us all that life is good, but hard at times and can be tough but always be tougher. Thank you. 

I have known Susan before Hyatt Park Elementary School in Columbia, SC and am so shocked to hear of her death. She and family lived across the street from us and we all played together, played hide/seek, rode bicycles, skated, explored creekside life and on and on. It was a disappointment  when her family moved to Bowie, MD but I was glad to find her on Facebook, living in the Tampa area. I will never forget Susan and I know she will be rejoicing because of the welcome she's getting with the Father. See you soon, Susan.

Susan was a friend to everyone. She could walk into a room full of strangers and leave with100 new friends. A real people person and an avid textor. She would meet some of us  every Wednesday for lunch. and we all looked forward to it. Susan had a great sense of humor and would do her imitation of a "southern belle" with a truly southern accent,  The Angels in Heaven have been blessed with a new friend.

We met Susan and Dave in Alpha and for twelve weeks we spend time together every Thursday. As so many have said, we also became instant friends. Susan had a caring and loving heart not just for her loved ones but for anyone she met. She was passionate and thorough on anything she got involve with. We will always remember how much Susan  enjoyed a good candy bar, especially a Heath Bar or Skor Bar and the day she went around the group tables collecting them for herself. She will be truly missed, may her soul be at peace with our Heavenly Father. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dave and her family. 

Susan, who I lovingly called Nicky, was my roommate at the University of Maryland, College Park.  She was such a joy, a loving person. The best roomie ever!  She served as a bridesmaid in my wedding.  I was so happy when she found me on FB.  We'd only reconnected in the past year.  My heart is broken but I have wonderful memories and a painting that she did while we were in school to remember her.  My deepest condolences to Dave and Caitlin as well as her extended family.  Much love to you all.

    I first met Sue at Belair Jr. High in 8th grade. I remember her in her cheer outfit, always out going and friendly. Reacquainted with her after my wife and I moved to Florida & I joined FB in 2017. I discovered another fellow Bowie 73’ Alum and we developed a friendship. We messaged about our mutual love of our families, fishing, Fl. wildlife, especially the magnificent Sandhill cranes that roamed about our homes. We discovered our mutual love and faith in our Lord.
 When my Dad passed on Easter night, 2 years prior, she (as many others) gave me a lot spiritual support and encouragement to help me get through my grief. I found we shared many of the same political, moral, and spiritual values.
     I sadly regret not being able to attend (wife was ill ) the last BHS  reunion so we could talk in person. I know she loved her husband, family, friends, and the Lord dearly. 
    I will miss my friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. I pray God’s comfort and Blessings to her husband and family.😪

My husband loved waiting outside with Susan at FHBA board meetings while Dave and I did our duty.  Russ passed several years ago and Susan contacted me to share some of the memories she had with him.  They were instant friends.  Actually Susan was an instant friend with everyone she met.  Even if it was one chance meeting or a lifetime she was everyone’s friend.  I’m happy she will never suffer health issues again but sad that we will not be with her again until we meet in heaven.  I’m sure she’ll have a welcoming group ready.  Dave please know you’re in my prayers as I know how sad losing your spouse can be.  If you need someone to talk to please call on me.  God bless you and Susan’s family.

Susan was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Tampa. She was a genuinely good and kind person. We had our wonderful lunch on Wednesday as often as we could and always enjoyed ourselves. To Dave and Caitlin I send my sincerest condolences. I cannot imagine your sadness. 

MY dear, dear, friend!  We spoke or texted nearly every day and we had our Fun in the Sun Day as often as schedules allowed! We met at Curves in 2002, and it was a solid friendship from the very beginning. You were always so open and it was easy to just talk - about anything!   I will cherish those memories and love you forever!

Susan was my very first friend when I moved to Tampa. The day I met her she said "your life is no longer your own." She was correct -- when Susan was your friend, it was forever.  Several people have mentioned her zest for life and for overcoming her challenges and there are no better words coming to me at this time. She was unfailingly supportive and had a wonderful sense of humor. Susan was a very bright light in my universe and I will never forget her. I miss her presence on the planet. Dave and Caitlin, I am beyond sorry for your loss.

Despite the distance since Susan moved to Florida, we have always kept each other updated on our and our children’s lives, ever since our girls started kindergarten together. I will miss you, Susan.  Dave and Caitlin and family, may your memories sustain you.

I have not known Susan as long as many have, I was introduced to her by my daughter, Marsha Patrick about 5 years ago. Once meeting Susan she made me feel like we have know one another for years. Susan's smile was like a ray of sunshine. What a wonderful reunion she and her Mom must be having. I will miss Susan but I know she is in a wonderful new home and will watch over the loved ones she had to leave behind. My prayers are with the family.

I will always remember your fun loving spirit.  The love you and Dave shared, the laughter.  I am in shock.  You always had a zest for life no matter what challenges you faced.  You will always remain a true inspiration to many.  God speed my friend....m .

I'm so glad to have known Susan since junior high and we've reconnected in Facebook. She will always be remembered as a good person. May she fly high and sing with the angels.
