SOLORZANO, Sonja Wilcox, 79, passed away on July 4, 2018. She was born in Bonita Springs, FL and was a retired 911 radio dispatcher for the Tampa Police Department. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Wilcox and her loving husband, Reynaldo “Rey” Solorzano. She is survived by her children, Linda Chapman (Herb), Michael Rey Solorzano (Nancy), Valentina Galentine (Vince), and Mary Oliver (Skip); 9 grandchildren, Ricky, Carlos, Cristina, Eric, Alyssa, Joshua, Lauren, Robert, and Bryan; 8 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Gonzalez Funeral Home on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 9:30AM to 11AM with funeral services beginning at 11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sonja’s name to Lighthouse for the Blind of Tampa.
