Sarah A. Gonzalez passed way on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the age of 84. She moved to Tampa, Florida in 1990 after living several years in Chicago, Illinois. Sarah was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico on August 4th of 1925. She was the eldest child of fourteen children to Carmen Garcia and Jose L. Rodriguez. She was a professional beautician and homemaker. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Gonzalez, nine brothers and sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Visitation will be on Friday, June 18th from 5pm – 9pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home at 7209 N. Dale Mabry Hwy – Tampa, Fl. Service is on Saturday, June 19th at 8:30 a.m.
Gonzalez Funeral Home and immediately followed with a mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church 3012 W. Cherry St. Tampa, Fl.
Sarah was a two-time survivor of breast cancer. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Cancer Society.
