I have lived across the street from Gene and Myong for two years.  Gene was always the kindest person who tried to see the good in everyone. I remember my first Thanksgiving in my house where Gene kept bringing me baked goods that he had created. I also remember him coming over to share pictures of his family with me. This was when his wife and daughter were in Korea and he missed them. Gene will be missed.

My cousin Robert Gene Warren (Genie), helped so much to get me through the hard times that I've had the last few years. He would invite me over for holiday dinners and come to my house to check on me and bring me some of his great homemade soup, pies and all kinds of good food. He would ask if I'd like to accompany him on some of his excursions when he'd go to help family, and I would usually go because it helped make me feel better to get out of the house for a while, and have a great person to talk to and joke with.

Genie was always positive and loved to help everybody. Genies passing leaves me with a huge void in my life. God bless his family, wife Chang and daughters Kim and Jessica.

I have been Gene and his wife's neighbor since 1988. There are not enough words to describe how kind and generous Gene was with everyone. He was always there to help a neighbor, friend, stranger and especially his family. I never heard him utter an angry word. His wife ,daughters, Kim and Jessica, brothers and sisters were his life and he would do anything for them,at any time.......and he did so, very often. He was a proud military retiree and then a post office retiree. He was a great cook and baker and prepared many Holiday feasts for both his family and his wife's Korean church family. Gene had a sense of humor and loved 'gag' gifts. He also loved Elvis Presley impersonator performers. I mentioned to a friend of mine how sad it was that such a kind, giving person,  who did so much for everyone, could die so soon. My friend responded that God decided it was time for him to be given rest and the gift of God's love because he had done so much for everyone. I was one of the last people to see him and wish I could have done more to help. Gene will be kindly remembered by many people long after these words have become silent.
