It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Regan on July 31, 2023 from natural causes in Tulum, Mexico. Born in Tampa on November 18, 1996, she was a child of both Tampa and Hawthorn Woods, IL. Regan began exploring the country for herself young, choosing Michigan State University for her degree and continuing outwards after graduation, ending her time on earth working for Wise and living back on the coast where she belonged.
Regan fit 100 lifetimes into 26 years - no stone left unturned, no ocean left untouched, Regan created ties cross continentally through her travels in the US, Europe, India, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific and Central America. She chose every aspect of nature that mother earth would give her from the mountains of Jackson Hole while working for the Four Seasons to the coastal bay of San Francisco to the flowing jungles of Big Island while living on a macadamia nut farm. Not only did she seek beauty externally but internally, turning to yoga and fitness to train her body and mind. She connected innately and automatically to animals, from the strays she took in on Big Island to her numerous accomplishments as an equestrian in horse shows. Regan took the fine lines of life and expanded them each into their own personal narrative, connecting deeply to each person, place and thing she blessed with her touch.
Regan was drawn deeply to the water, feeding her soul through swimming, free-diving, shelling, boating, even just standing at the shoreline and appreciating. She saw a beauty in the ocean that then reflected in herself.
Regan may have physically left her body, but her soul is survived through those most important to her: from her loving parents Michelle (Triplett) and James T. O’Sullivan to her siblings Ryan, Riley, and Rory, Regan lives on. Furthermore, she continues forward as the granddaughter of Lois Quintana of Tampa, beloved niece of Leslie O’Sullivan & Laurie O’Sullivan Wren (Kevin). Cousins Em, Brendan and Caroline Wren and Michael Jr. and Nicole Triplett. She is now with those who have preceded her in death, grandparents Brendan and Maria O’Sullivan and Armando (Andy) Quintana, and Uncle Michael Triplett
A service to celebrate the vibrancy of her light will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave on Friday, August 18 from 4pm to 5:30pm with a memorial service to start at 5:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to: Ocean Conservancy https://oceanconservancy.org or On the Wings of Angels https://www.owar.org
May she finally become the ocean she so adored.
