Paula Leinbach Tarnow “Polly,” 85 of Tampa, passed away December 23, 2017. She was born in East Orange, New Jersey on February 22, 1932 to the late Joseph and Suzanne Leinbach. Polly attended H.B. Plant High School where she was head cheerleader and was in the Pantherilla Court. She received several scholarships to the University of Florida which allowed her to receive a degree in Education with high honors. Polly was a member of the ChiOmega Sorority. She was chosen as runner-up Miss University of Florida and selected to be placed in the Beauty Section of the 1953 yearbook. After college, she married Paul Tarnow Jr and moved to Miami where she taught 2nd and 6th grade. Soon thereafter; Polly moved to back to Tampa and raised her three children. At the age of 55, Polly began a new career and became a prominent Realtor/Broker associate in South Tampa. She received an award for being one of the top performing realtors at Prudential Florida Realty. Polly is survived by her sons; Paul Tarnow III, Scott Tarnow (Patty Miller); daughter, Dolly Tarnow Dannewitz; grandson, Connor Dannewitz; twin sister, Dolly Thompson (Chuck); nieces, Polly Thompson, Melinda King Cashin (Greg), Tobie Helms Tarnow; nephews, Chase Thompson, Rusty King (Cyndi), Mark King, Ty Tarnow; sister-in-law, Carole King; brother in laws, Dan Tarnow, Jerry Tarnow (Kathleen); ex-husband, Paul Tarnow Jr.; many great nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many dear friends who will miss her loving heart.
