I will always remember the Palermo family! I loved Valerie and was her friend since I started going to Edison Elementary coming from OLPH parochial.  I had so much fun at your home on Shadowlawn so long ago. I still think of  your  hospitality  for me when I visited your home  as a 6th grader . 
I have thought of your family since that sad time of losing Valerie.
I am imagining her now having her parents in heaven with her forever.

Olga's mother-in-law, Clara Palermo, was my mother's first cousin.  I knew Olga ever since I was a little girl and thought that she had the most beautiful face and smile, and was one of the kindest ladies I had ever met. On some business trips to Miami last year, I was able to spend some time with Olga and she still was that beautiful lady, both inside and out, that I had remembered as a child. After those visits, we would talk on the phone to 'catch up.'I keep thinking that I need to call her to tell her something, and knowing she won't be there to talk, makes my heart sad.  I know she is happy in heaven because she is with her daughter, Valerie, husband, Nick, and the rest of her family. Olga, you will be missed by so many who love you.  Marilyn Menendez-Sellers

My condolences to the family. It is my hope you find comfort in God's word, he promises "he will sustain you" during these difficult times.

We had known Olga since she was a teen agereach others wedding, and enjoyed mant happy times togetherin the past she and Nick and in later years enjoyed visiting her in Miami. In recent years, our time together was talking to each other on the phone often.

Olga was a dear friend. She was my aunt Hortensia's bridesmaid in her wedding.  We shared a bond as we both lost a child.  She was always such a positive person full of spunk and life.  I will miss our conversations.  I will continue to take care of your mother's grave at Centro Asturiano cemetary.  Will miss you Olga.

May her soul rest in peace.  Truly a great lady and true friend. Never forgotten.
