Garcia Jr, Nelson, 79, Tampa, FL passed away October 13, 2016. He was born June 25, 1937 in Tampa FL to Nelson Sr and Velia. He was the oldest of 5 they are: Nelson Jr, Given, Gilbert, Velia and Joyce. Nelson was a National Guardsman, Mason, and invested over two decades as an Electrician with the City of Tampa. He and his devoted wife Nancy of 58 years loved to travel and go to casinos. Whether it was to Mississippi to hit the slots or to Arkansas for rock hunting, they were always up for a road trip with their 2 children. Nelson Jr could talk to anyone and make them feel welcome. He was a storyteller who loved his family and his hometown. A doting grandfather who could always be found on the sidelines or in the audience to support his grandchildren he loved so dearly. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Garcia along with their son, Nelson Garcia III and wife Denise and daughter Gina Garcia. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Nelson IV and wife Stacie (great-grandchildren Nelson V and Stella), Anthony and wife Lauren, Danny, and Marissa.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 10AM to 11AM at Gonzalez Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11AM. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, FL.
