Nellie "Ruth" Williams

Nellie "Ruth" Williams, 98, passed away on March 20, 2025 in Seminole, Fl. Ruth was born in Tampa May 13, 1926 to Thomas L. and Dewie Rutledge Barber. A resident of Tampa most of her life, she graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1944 and married her high school sweetheart Bob Williams in 1947. A longtime member of Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, she was known and loved for her positive outlook, sweet nature, love of God, her faith and family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Williams DVM, Ruth is survived by her sons, Thomas Williams and David (Liz) Williams; grandchildren, Kelly (Kerry) Stanko, Justin Stanko, Tyson (Michele) Williams, Ashley Williams, Kelly (Alex) Williams, and Michael Williams; 2 great grandchildren Aiden and Nicholas Stanko and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. We will all miss her greatly.

A visitation will be held at Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, 6111 N. Central Ave, Tampa on Saturday, March 29th at 1pm followed by the funeral at 2pm. Private interment for the family will follow at Garden of Memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seminole Heights United Methodist Church in Ruth's honor.
