Ms. Nancy L Adams

Nancy passed away peacefully on November 24,2022. She was predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Kathryn Adams, and is survived by three cousins, Tom Hill of Oregon, Sybil Herron of Ohio and Jim Adams of North Carolina. Nancy was born Mansfield, Ohio. She grew up in Clayton and Ladue in the suburbs of St.Louis. She also resided in Hinsdale, Illinois for a few years before moving to Florida.

Nancy graduated from Clayton High School, Stevens College in Columbus, Missouri and Washington University in St.Louis. Later she attended the University of South Florida where she received a master's degree. She taught science at Madison Jr. High School in Tampa, retiring 1987.

Nancy was a long time resident of Davis Island and was a member of Davis Island Civic Association, THe Davis Island Yacht Club, The Dinhgy Dames sailing group and Phi Beta Phi Fraternity. She was lifelong Episcopalian and a member of St.John's Episcopal Church in Tampa.

A Memorial service will be held at St.John's Episcopal Church, 906 S. Orleans, Tampa at 11:00am on Tuesday December 20. Following the memorial service the interment of ashes will be the Chapel of the Resurrection at the Church. There will be a reception in the parish hall following that ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Nancy to St.John's Episcopal Church or a charity of your choice.
