Michael Steven Hoerig, 20, of Lutz, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Michael attended school in Brunswick, Ohio until 2017 and later graduated in 2020 from Bloomingdale High School in Brandon, Florida. While in school Michael enjoyed playing lacrosse, bodybuilding, and won the Mr. Bloomingdale Bodybuilding competition.
Michael had two passions in life. He was an avid bodybuilder and enjoyed bartending for Spunky Spirits. He loved to entertain, spread joy to others, and pushed people to be better versions of themselves.
Michael focused on living a healthy lifestyle and mentored others to do the same. He would help people realize a way forward to attain their goals. Michael successfully competed in, and won, several bodybuilding competitions. His ultimate dream was to be Mr. Olympia and open up a gym. Michael prioritized his family and loved ones. Outside of working out, he would watch movies and play video games with his brothers.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Horvath and Salvatore Garofalo.
Michael is survived by his loving Mother, Gina Hoerig; Stepfather, Vance Achterhof; Father, Ronald Hoerig (Karen); Grandmother, Anna Horvath; Sister, Jessica Gallon (Ronald); Brothers, Alex Hoerig, Logan Evans, Steven Hoerig, and Matthew Hoerig; Niece, Elena; Nephews, Johnathan, Ayden, and Tyler; Girlfriend, Maria Agurcia; and many other relatives and loved ones.
Michael was very loved during his life on this earth and will be greatly missed. Visitations to honor his memory will be at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618 on Tuesday, November 1st from 5:30-8:30pm and Wednesday, November 2nd from 11:30am-12:30pm. Followed by a service to begin at 12:30pm and internment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr., Trinity, FL 34655. Celebration of Life immediately following internment at Old McMicky’s Farm, 9612 Crescent Dr., Odessa, FL 33556.
