Mary Ann Pearce

PEARCE, Mary Ann, age 78, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Mary Ann was born in Murfreesboro, TN. She lived in North Carolina, Alaska, Texas, New York and Miami before moving to Tampa in 1985 to be closer to her family. She worked as a buyer and later as a store manager at J Byron's/Upton's retail store for 31 years. After retiring she volunteered for six years at Lake Magdalene Elementary School, being selected as volunteer of the year in 2011. Mary Ann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is preceded in passing by her son, Charles Spinella III. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Mearl James Pearce, Jr.; daughters, Debra Givens (Thomas), Virginia Hayes (Nelson); grandchildren, Crystal Hayes-Wiggins, Mathew Hayes, Jackie Wilson: great-grandchildren: Riley and Olivia Wiggins, Ava Hayes, Luke and Taylor Wilson and brother, Will Tomlinson. Celebration of Life Service and visitation for family and friends will held at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel Saturday May 9. Visitation is from 2pm-3pm with Celebration of Life Service from 3-4 pm. Requested by the family in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
