Mrs. Mary Ann “Jonesie” McAlpine went home to the Lord on July 18, 2022 at the age of 65. Mary Ann’s favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” A native of Potsdam, NY, Mary Ann worked as a licensed practical nurse, serving the last 25 years of her career at the former University Community Hospital in Tampa. She was a devout member of Open Door Baptist Church of Tampa and a loyal Florida Gator fan. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 41 years, Robert McAlpine, of Temple Terrace, FL; son, Cody McAlpine, and wife, Kim, of Belmont, NC; and two beloved grandchildren. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Dickson.
A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held at 4pm on August 6, 2022 at Open Door Baptist Church of Tampa, 7405 N Harney Road, with Pastor Bill Grishaw officiating. The church will host relatives and friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
