Carmody, Mary, 86 of Tampa, FL. passed away on October 17, 2021 just 2 days shy of her 87th birthday. Mary was born in Baltimore, Maryland to parents, Richard and Laura Lewis. She raised her family in Annapolis, Maryland where she worked as an administrative assistant for Anne Arundel Community College. Later Mary moved from New Jersey to the Tampa Bay area in 2013 and has called Elmcroft of Carrollwood home since 2017. Mary was known as a great artist and belonging to many books clubs as she enjoyed reading. She also loved socializing with family and friends, visiting the beach, and occasionally, she could be caught enjoying a nice glass of Chardonnay. Mary was a proud mother to her four children and they all adored her. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Kathleen and Eileen. Mary is survived by her daughter, Laura Schillo and her husband John; son, Patrick Carmody and his wife Barbara; 9 amazing grandchildren who called her Grandma, Mary, Kevin, Mark, Katherine, Megan, Rachel, James, Stephen, and Grace; along with 4 great grandchildren who called her “GG”, Michael, Jac, Rosaline, and Aerith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A private family service will take place at a later date.
