Martha Dye (Scarborough), 64, a longtime resident of Tampa, FL, passed away on Thursday April 28th, 2016 peacefully. Martha was born in Arlington, Virginia on October 3rd, 1951. She was predeceased by her father O.C. Scarborough. Martha is survived by her loving husband Lamar Dye (34 years), her daughter Ashley Richardson, son-in-law Jonathan Richardson, her mother Liza Farmer, brother Edward, sister Claire, mother-in-law Maxine Dye, father-in-law Oscar, and many loving nieces and nephews. Martha settled into life in South Tampa after falling in love with her husband Lamar in the spring of 1980. Martha dedicated her life to entertaining people she loved and always going above and beyond. She was a cheer/dance mom to her daughter Ashley, never missing a practice or competition while maintaining a full time job. After working in the banking industry in downtown Tampa, Martha transitioned to payroll specialist in the energy industry for 32 years. Known for exceptional work, Martha won the Excellence Award in 2004 for best attitude and commitment to the job. Martha dedicated her time to nurturing great relationships and always left a smile on other’s faces.
