Lilla Pearl Eason Troyer passed away at her home in Tampa, FL on October 6, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born on March 23, 1935 in Carrollton, GA to Joseph Millard Eason and Nina Dyer Eason. Pearl loved sports and excelled in basketball, softball, bowling, golf and tennis. In the 1960's and early 1970's, Pearl worked as a licensed Realtor while living in West Palm Beach and Gainesville, Florida. Pearl moved to Tampa in 1975 and 5 years later she joined the law firm of Blain and Cone as their receptionist where she would develop a life-long friendship with Buddy and Laura Blain, plus, Jackie and Peter Hubbell. Pearl was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Millard Eason; her mother, Nina Dyer Eason; her sister, Mary Eason Perry; her niece, Janette Perry; her brother, Warren Eason; and brother-in-law Paul Raker. Pearl is survived by her ex-husband, D.W. Troyer; her sisters, Lariene Eason, June Raker, and Marguerite (Bill) Sowder; her niece, Sue (Arthur) Starling; her nephew, Scott (Debby) Perry; her cousin, Randall (Denise) Crumbley; her children, Randy (Karen) Troyer and Sabrina (Luis) Figueroa; her grandchildren, Wesley (Katie) Troyer, Patrick (Leanne) Troyer, Kelly (Sam) Gambrell, Cristina (Adam) Phelps, Shirley (Lee) Burgos, Angelica Figueroa, Marisa Figueroa; her great-grandchildren, Layla Troyer, Alyse Troyer, Sarah Troyer, Zeke Troyer, Zane Troyer, Adam Gambrell, Ellie Gambrell, Landon Phelps, Annika Phelps, Victor Phelps, Atticus Phelps, and Benjamin Miles Burgos; and her extended family, Ruth Ann Troyer, Bob (Char) Starr, Linda (Tony) Kerns, and Eva Figueroa. Pearl never met a stranger: she was the epitome of Southern Hospitality. She loved the beach and she loved the mountains. She would amass a grand collection of shells and rocks over her lifetime. We will miss her sharp wit, her long and colorful stories and her vast knowledge on any subject. Mostly, we will miss her love. Go with God and rest in peace.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Colontown ( Donate - Colontown ) or to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
