After growing up in Tampa, he moved to Albany, Georgia where he lived until he moved back to Tampa with his parents when they retired. Kenny passed away September 1, 2022.
Kenny is predeceased by his parents, Glenda L. and Kenneth W. Gillett. He is survived by his son, Morgan Gillett and fiance, Lauren Whitehurst; son, Lee Gillett; granddaughter, Ryleigh Gillett; sister, Doreen Desin; and niece, Kendall Desin, and partner Monique Allen. Kenny also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory.
Kenny lived life to the fullest. He was a very caring man, an animal lover, and had a great sense of humor. He loved playing pool, watching sports. Kenny was a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, and the Florida Gators.
A Life Celebration will be held September 24, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33610.
