Kay Reyes-Axelrod, 68, of Oldsmar, passed away with her family by her side at the South Pinellas Suncoast Hospice Center on Friday, January 21, 2022. She was born on August 27, 1953, in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Robert and Grace Traub.
Since retiring from a career in accounting, she held volunteer positions at a variety of organizations within her community, including Mease Countryside Hospital, and was a regular attendee of Calvary Clearwater Church. However, her primary focus was always her family - most recently her role as a dedicated grandmother to her two young grandchildren. She is survived by daughter Nichole Reyes; grandchildren Sam and Charlotte; son-in-law Drew White; sisters Carol Lewis and Nancy Ragsdale; brother-in-law Gary Lewis; and niece Holly Harris.
Funeral services will be held at Blount and Curry Funeral Home 605 S. MacDill Avenue Tampa, Florida on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow. On-line condolences can be given to the family at www.blountcurrymacdill.com.
