Lucy was born in Pontotoc, MS on October 24,1932. She is a graduate of Pontotoc High School. She was married to Waymon D. Sewell, also from Pontotoc, after he returned from military duty.
Having spent years moving throughout the southeast, her family settled in Tallahassee, FL, where she would remain until 2020.
Lucy was very involved in her beloved East Hill Baptist church and was active in various neighborhood committees.
She was predeceased by her husband, Waymon Sewell, son Robert David Sewell, and sister in law Sharon Jones. She is survived by son Steven Darold Sewell and Daughter in Law Donna Manning Sewell, grandchildren Emily Boucher (Zachary), Hannah Murray (Logan), Olivia Kathryn Sewell, and great granddaughters Isabella Grace Boucher and Adeline Livi Boucher, brother Lowry Jones and nephew Jordan Jones.
A celebration of life service will be scheduled in Tallahassee at a later date.
