Joseph Troy Osborne, Sr. passed from this life to his Heavenly Home on March 7, 2018..He is survived by his wife Lynn, daughter Vicki (William) O’Donnell, son Joseph (Julie) Osborne, Jr., Lynn’s daughter Emily (David) Read, grandchildren Shannon and James O’Donnell, Kaitlyn and Ryan Osborne, and Mason Read, siblings Ruth Melvin, Mac (Pat) Osborne, Jim (Vicki) Osborne, sister and Debra Osborne, Lynn’s family – Frances McConnell, Edwina Hinson, Tommy (Vernie) Johnson, Jenay (Jim) Bishop, Bob (Beth) McConnell, Jim (Diane) McConnell, Sam (Laura) McConnell, Donna (John) Adams, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in Faubush, Kentucky, Joe and his family lived in Indiana until a move to Tampa where he attended Hillsborough High School. Joe was an outstanding basketball player making the All State Team, Tampa Times All City Team, Coaches All City team, All State Tournament Team, and South All Star Team. Joe graduated from Hillsborough High School and has remained active with the 1956 graduating class through the years. He served our country in the US Army Signal Corps. Joe excelled in the construction field, serving many years as Senior Project Manager for J.O. DeLotto & Sons. Joe was a very proud 32° Shrine Mason. He was a member of Holyrood Lodge No. 257 in Tampa, Scottish Rite in Tampa, and Egypt Shrine Center. Joe served in many leadership roles, including Potentate of Egypt Shrine in 2011 and board member of the Tampa Shriners Hospital for Children. Funeral services will be at Hyde Park United Methodist Church, 500 W. Platt Street, Tampa on Mon, Mar 12, 2018: Visitation will be in the Harnish Activities Center from 10 am – 1 pm, Service 1 pm, followed by graveside service at Garden of Memories.
