COSTER, Joseph D., 84 of Tampa made his way to Heaven November 30, 2016. Originally from Barnabus, West Virginia; his Air Force career brought him to Tampa in 1969 where he retired 5 years later as CMSGT after 24 years of service to his country. He was an asset to the community through his work as a Past Master Mason of the Holyrood Lodge #251-Free and Accepted Masons, Illustrious Brother 33rd Degree of the Scottish Rite, a member of the York Rite, and a Egypt Shriner. He was also an active member of Wesley Memorial UMC and volunteered with many other organizations. His legacy will live on with his family including his loving wife of 62 years, Louise Coster; daughters, Peggy Bussey (George) and Mary Lynne Gonzalez (Frank); grandchildren, Boyce Gillette (Samantha), Amanda Gillette, Bryan Bussey, Rebecca ‘Ria’ Warner (Will), and Nicholas Gonzalez as well as great grandchildren, Makayla, Ava, and Joseph. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Monday, December 5 at Wesley Memorial UMC, 6100 Memorial Hwy, Tampa with a funeral service to follow at 7pm. A graveside service with will be held at 11am Tuesday, December 6th at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Wesley Memorial UMC or to the Shiners.
