He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Warren, His two brothers Charles Warren Jr and Thomas Warren, Sister- in-law Helen Warren and Brother-in-law Larry Looney. He is survived by his loving family Renee Warren, Lisa Williams (Sterling), Todd Williams, Susan Warren, and Sister- in-law Cecile Looney and family. Along with his grandchildren, Caprice Exume (Serge), Anthony Oliver (Chelsea), Candice Ricks (Quinnton), Javarias Hubbard (Naomi), Kara Gonzalez (Lupe), and Calvin Williams along with many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving family in Michigan, Sister-in-law Merry Warren, Nieces and Nephews Janet Preston, Susan Burch(Doug), Charles Warren, Emma Barnes (William), Merry Kooistra (Dave), Michal Ballard and cousin William Norris and family and many more who loved him. Dear friends Charlotte Huber from Michigan and Getty and BiBi from Tampa.
He graduated from Aernac Eastern High School and joined the US Air Force which took him across the US and finally landed him in Tampa, Florida where he resided the remainder of his life. He worked many years in the Wastewater Treatment Department with MacDill Air Force Base and The City of Tampa where he finally retired after almost 50 years. He was an avid baseball fan and loved the Tampa Bay Ray's, along with many years of umpiring baseball and softball with the District 6 Little League Staff. He also loved hunting and fishing which he spent many of weekends. He was also a part of the Masonic Lodge High Twelve No.317 and John Darling Lodge. He was Past Master of High Twelve No.317. And a special thank you to the staff at The Gandy Crossings Rehab Facility and Hospice for their care.
Our Dad was a part of so many lives and was a loving soul to all he knew and met. He was the best dad, uncle, and friend anyone could ask for. He is forever loved and will be deeply missed by all. Dad you are now home and may you Rest In Peace.
A visitation for John will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home-MacDill Chapel, 605 S Macdill Ave, Tampa, Florida 33609. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 605 S Macdill Ave, Tampa, Florida 33609. A graveside service with military honors will occur Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592.
