I recognize that you were my Mother-in-Law late in life, BUT you were the BEST Mother-in-Law a girl can have.  THANK YOU for being such a great Mom to us.  I pray that you are now resting in peace with Donna, your parents and family.  The three of us will miss you forever and I appreciate your independence, your giving heart and your love for Henry and Victoria (she is your biggest fan).  I am so thankful for all of  Victoria's voice recordings of you and her talking and laying in bed together.  We will treasure these memories forever.  God bless you Jill; I look forward to the day that I can reunite with you and our family and meet Donna and Leslie.  I love you always - you inspired me to be bad ass just like you!!!  

My grandmother, Wella Jill, was easily considered my best friend and companion. Growing up, I went to her house everyday after school. Everyday was the same: I would go to her house, either lay with her in her bed or on the couch next to her recliner and just talk. When I say talk I mean we would talk for HOURS. If anyone knows anything about my grandmother it’s that she loved to talk. Luckily for her, I loved to listen to her talk. She would tell me stories about her life, childhood, and about my father and uncle’s upbringing as she worked hard to provide for her kids. She would tell me what it was like to run away from home at 14,  being a young mother at 16, losing her daughter, and everything in between. I would just sit there and listen, because to be honest, I found my grandmother and her life fascinating. My grandmother in my eyes was the definition of a strong woman. Commanding attention anywhere she went. She didn’t take any slack from anyone and would be the first person to let someone know if they were doing something she didn’t like. I loved that. As a little girl, I would strive to be the same. When I would come to her about any problems I had at school where anyone was unkind to me, she would urge me to fight back. She would urge me to not let anyone make me feel anything less than the princess she constantly reminded me I was. My whole life growing up I would try to channel my grandmother: I would not be soft or quiet or obidient, but be like her: rebellious, say what’s on my mind, be confident, be firm, and be free. My grandmother never let me forget how proud she was of the young woman I’ve become. I will cherish every memory and I know that she will always be with me as my guardian angel as I go through life being the woman she molded me into. Her words of advice will live within me and I will do everything in my power continuing to make her proud. My angel, my best friend, my love, I love you forever Wella.

Jill was one of our mother’s (Anita Kaufer) best friends in Tampa! She treated Anita like her own family, always inviting and including her at holiday dinners and family events. Jill called our mother every single day to check on her even though she couldn’t come over to take care of her because of her own heath issues. Jill, we appreciated all the love you showed our mother and our family  throughout the years! You were an amazing mother to your own children and to Brice.  God bless you, 🙏🏽
