Irma “Jean” Menendez, 80, passed away on July 12, 2018. Jean was a lifelong resident of Tampa and along with her husband Charles, owned a gift shop in Ybor City for many years. Jean was a member of the Orchid Club, Garden Club, and a former member of St. John Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She enjoyed the theater, gardening, shopping, eating, and most of all spending time with her beloved family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Eva Fogg, her daughter Beverly Gavin, and her husband Charles Menendez. Jean is survived by her daughter Barbara Tamargo; daughters and sons-in-law Becky and Scott Daniel, and Brenda and Steven Jacobs; her brother Ira Fogg; brothers and sisters-in-law Frank and Pat Fogg, Larry and Debbie Fogg; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gail and Felix Llorca; her grandchildren Chad (Tamara) Daniel, Christina (Drew) Spinozzi, Rachelle Gavin Molina, Zane Gavin, Carina Jacobs, and Chelsea Jacobs; Nieces Nicolle (David) Monell and Jennifer Fogg; Nephew Ira (Lorna) Fogg Jr.; Great-grandchildren Audra, Cade, and Carter Daniel, Scarlett, Stella, Violette, and Victoria Spinozzi, Ricky and Diamond Molina, Adrian and Alec Garcia, and Amelia Richter. The family would like to extend a special thank you to one of Jean’s caregivers, Sprite Kilen for the loving care of their mother. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Family will be receiving guest from 2-3pm with a service following, officiated by Pastor Daniel Dunn.
