Harold Vincent Stafford passed away in his home Friday, April 17 at the age of 72. He was the son of the late William Himes Stafford and Rebecca Bishop Stafford. He was born and reared in Tampa Jan. 31 1943. He graduated from Hillsborough High School, the University of Tampa and Southwestern Louisiana. He was an accountant in Tampa for many years. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his sons, Matthew (Pamela) and Brett and his former wife and mother of his sons, Ruthann Stafford- Couto (Tony). Also his precious, faithful companion, Samson. Also surviving are two brothers, Douglas(Joy) and Kenneth(Wendy – deceased) both in Brandon. For Many years, Harold was very active with scouting and little league with his sons. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially the Gators and NASCAR. Visitation will be at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave on Friday April 24 from 6 to 8 pm. A celebration of life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tampa General Hospital Foundation or Life Path Hospice.
