Gilles was such a jovial and kind friend. He made me laugh often at work, even over the phone from Clearwater to New York.   We often talked about Oceane and her love of dance. My deepest condolences to his family, especially his children.

Dearest Gilles,

I am deeply saddened by the news of your passing. Although many years have passed since I have seen or spoken with you, no amount of time can ever erase the memories. 

My favorite memory is when you first moved to the US, you did not speak any English.  Within six months you were speaking non stop! I was amazed. Your sense of humor was unique and the jokes were always flowing. Making people laugh was definitely one of your super powers.

It was such an honor being a part of the original APNA team alongside your leadership. A beautiful path was paved and you created an amazing legacy not only with your beautiful children, Oceane and Mateo, but with the Clearwater Service Center. You mastered your craft and became a teacher and a leader. Your spirit lives on. 

Rest in peace dearest Gilles.

Working together became friendship.
It's not easy to describe Gilles in a few words, I'll remember the spirit of the team he created in Clearwater, like a testimony of who he was, something precious he gave us and that continues after him.

Gilles à été pour moi un collègue puis il est devenu un ami.  Un ami de plus de vingt ans avec qui nous avons pu partager l’amour des montres et des motos.

I have attempted to write this a few times this week.  Wondering what I can say about one of the most special people that has touched my life. We fought like brother and sister but I always knew how much you loved me. I would not have the life I have now if it weren’t for you.  Thank you for all the love and understanding you always had for me. Besides my immediate family, you have always been there for me when I was at my lowest.  I will never forget you and I will make sure your spirit continues in AP AND you are not forgotten.  I love you so much and I will miss you so much. Only you understood my unorthodox sense of humor.  I love you my Forever Boss……always ❤️

You were a warrior, an example.  I only have few photos of you, but many more memories.  I'm going to miss your French accent, when you said something to me and I almost never could understand you and I had to ask yojannys "what did he tell me" haha.  We definitely miss you here, but I know you are in a better place and pain free.  Rest in peace.
