Gerald, “Jerry” William Robbins, 71, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on April 8, 2017. Jerry was born in Lafayette, Indiana on October 17, 1945. He graduated from Carmi High School and continued on to receive an Engineering Degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Jerry worked as a Quality Engineer. He enjoyed boating, scuba diving, and golfing. He was also an active Ham Radio Operator. Jerry is survived by his wife, Carole Robbins; two sisters, Linda Robbins of Canton, GA, Cricket (Art) Merritt of Fripp Island, SC; brother, Max (Arlene) Robbins of Lafayette, IN; two children, daughter Karen (Tony) Ballinger of Auburndale, FL, son Chris Robbins of Lakeland, FL; two step-daughters, Tisha (Eddie) Malone of Evansville, IN, and Wendy (Alan) Wells of Newburgh, IN. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Theresa and Danny Ballinger, Jenna and Eric Malone, and Allie and Christian Wells. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, William and Catherine Robbins.
