Your missed man. I went to the opening lightning game last Tuesday and you were in my thoughts. I wished you could of been there. Your in our thoughts and prayers. The world lost a great person.

To My Husband, Life Partner, Best Friend and Father of the Lifetime:

Gary for 16 years, you've been my "Sharpest Tool In The Shed", my "Allstar", and my "Rockstar".That was our song; Smashmouth made it for us.
In the blink of an eye, I lost that when you passed. I want to know why?? I want to know why?? I want to know why?? Our love was so strong. I will never stop asking.You were my rock, my strength, my everything!!!!!
Early on, very few believed in us. We proved EVERYONE wrong during these 16 years.
Meeting each other that day April 22, 1999 @4:26pm at the Swigwam and then married July 16, 1999 in Las Vegas was a bold thing to do but we had true love for each other. We said nobody would change that.
Over the years and two BEAUTIFUL children later, we had it all figured out. We became ONE. We couldn't wait to see how the girls would grow and blossom. We had so many things already planned that we had to look forward to. Madison with the Barbizon Modeling Competiton and learning to drive and Homecoming Dance. Rylee starting Middle School and keeping her on track and just watching her grow with her passions.
There was never a question that we all would ever be apart. EVER!!! I feel completely lost without you. We had plans and dreams. You ARE and WILL ALWAYS BE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. I take it hour by hour. Don't know how I'm going to make it without you. Trying to be strong for the girls.Trying to handle life without my soul mate. My heart breaks everyday and I'm completely broken.
You left US TOO SOON. I continue to scream to ask why you left us. 
YOU WERE OUR WORLD AND THE GIRLS AND I KNOW WE WERE YOUR WORLD!

My Uncle Gary was a wonderful man a cool uncle. He influenced my life not only as a uncle but he gave me the gift of wanting to play hockey. My favorite Hockey player wasn't. Gordie Howe or Steve Yzerman it was my Uncle Gary! I learned that hockey wanst just a game i gained so many friends and so many good times memories that last a lifetime... I thank him for that .He is the type of Man ,Father and so on that i want to be..i will truly miss you and you were always My Hero Uncle Gary Love you.

To my cousin, Gary Martin. 
There won't be a day that I won't think of you! You were such a great cousin to me. I remember doing roofing jobs with you and the guys that helped us are still my really good friends. You were my inspiration to do roofing and to help others out when needed. Thank you for giving me such respect when I helped you roof houses when I was younger! I love you so much and you will be missed dearly!!

To my loving brother , words can't describe what a great person you where. you where a hard worker, a provider , a great father that adored Madison, & Rylee, MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY. A great huband to Kristen. A wonderful son, and brother. you where very devoted to your family. When you died a piece of me went with you. I WILL ALWAYS cheish your memory. Until we met again, just remember how much I love & miss you.

My brother was the best brother anyone could ask for.l was so proud of the man he was.We all loved him so much. I idolized him.He was wonderful brother, son,father,husband, and uncle.I dont know how we will ever get through this.Our hearts are broken.They say that God gives you no more then you can handle,idont no how this is true. There is no way we can ever handle this.I cant belive that God needed this special angle this soon. I met Gary through my ex-husband in the early 90s.  Though it has been many years since our paths crossed his name often came up in conversations (the Red Wings and his one of a kind Red Wing decal on his truck hood, his Red Wing construction company, his huge, blonde Bouvier, us joking w/one another that he was older than me by 1 day) with fond memories.  Gary was a best friend to my ex-husband and was around for so many day to day events.  I look back and feel that he was like a brother to me.  I am deeply saddened by his death.  Kristen, I remember when you and Gary met. It was and will always be true love!!  You and your children were his every delight! I am so very sorry for your loss, I pray for your comfort and belief in love's everlasting connection and may that love lift you and give you strength during this difficult time.

I am so saddened to hear we lost a good man, a loving husband, a fabulous father, and for me a loss of a friend. I enjoyed working with Gary and listening to his experiences, taking in his knowledge, and apreciating his patience. He was the best all around superintendents I have ever worked with. Going to miss you Gary.

Gary Martin- what a great guy!   Loving husband and father, a real strong family man, super builder and business co-worker, talented athlete, and all around steady  person.  Sometimes Life just isn't fair but Gary accomplished so much in his time here!  My warmest thoughts and prayers go out to all he loved.

We've lost a great human being. Gary was a family man and possessed the talents that few builders could dream about.  He always helped others and made everyone around him elevate their game. I'll miss him dearly.

I am so very saddened by this news. I grew up with Gary and have many fond memories of him. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you.

Gary was a great guy with the most wonderful family, my heart and prayers are with them all.  I was fortunate to be included on family camping trips to Higgins Lake, Michigan in our youth.  I will remember him fondly.

Gary was a real friend, a great superintendent and an even better family man, my heart aches for his family over this tragic loss. I will always remember the way he would light up when talking about his family. He loved Kristin and the girls so much! He taught me a lot over the last few years and I'm honored to have worked beside him. Gary has gone too early but he will never be forgotten.

My sincerest condolences to Gary's wonderful family. Gary was one of the very best men I ever came across in my working career. He was highly skilled and effective at what he did, but more importantly he was true to his word, honest and dedicated to his work and his friends and family. He was an excellent role model to all. I am deeply honored to have been associated with him.

My deepest sympathies to all the family and friends who have been affected by this tragedy. Gary and I became friends in 1st grade and that friendship grew through high school and into young adulthood. Though life has taken us on different journeys and separated us by many miles, my fond memories of our years together will never be extinguished. I have been and will continue to pray for strength and mercy for all of you.

I haven't seen cousin Gary since Grandma Dot's funeral, but he was always such a nice guy. He was there to support us when Grandma Dot and earlier Grandpa Tom passed and I know he is with them now. Sincerest condolences from my wife and I. Sending positive energy during this rough time. I have learned through much loss in my life, always remember the good times together. Those will last forever!

We are very saddened by the news of Gary's passing.  Gary was a great guy, always helpful with the construction process of building our new Fire Station, 25.  He spoke of his girls and wife always, and with a smile - and hockey too. May our Lord bless and comfort you and your family during this time of grief. Please accept our sincere condolences.
