Gary Amos, 59, of Tampa, Florida passed away on February 11, 2018. Gary was born June 2, 1958 in Flint, Michigan to Billy Paul and Virginia “Ginny” Amos. Gary was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were BAMA (Roll Tide!) anything, especially football, Detroit Tigers, Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Since his retirement he started jewelry making as a hobby. He is pre-deceased by his parents, his uncle Shelton Ray Amos and his sister Geneva “Susie” Vargas. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Amos, five children, Roshaunda Amos of Guntersville, AL; Billi (Cole) Charron of Bensalem, PA; Gary (Amanda) Amos II of Ardmore, AL; Amy Rigsby of Tampa, FL; and Michael Amos of Tampa, FL; four siblings Tom (Shirley) Amos; Tony (Denise) Hufford; Sarah (Keith) Moulton and Shirley Amos; three grandchildren Natalie Paschket, Elijiah Paschket and Maxine Amos, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a grandniece. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel. Family and friends are invited afterward to the family home for refreshments. A separate celebration of life will be held in Alabama in early May and his ashes scattered on Sand Mountain.
