Denis George Bussiere

Denis George Bussiere, 83, passed away September 15, 2023 in Tampa, FL. Born in Acushnet, MA, Denis moved to Tampa in June 1991. He served for twenty years in both the United States Air Force and Air National Guard during the Vietnam War and then worked as a Computer Specialist for the US Government after his service. Denis’ hobbies included watching all Boston sports teams, especially his beloved Celtics, wood working, music, video games and spending quality time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren

Denis was preceded in death by his parents Armand and Emilie Bussiere of Acushnet, MA and his siblings, brothers Roger Bussiere, Robert Bussiere and sister Estelle Wunschel.

Denis is survived by his wife of 63 years, Diane (LaPalme) Bussiere; children Daniel (Jeanne) Bussiere of Colchester, CT, David (Deanna) Bussiere of West Dennis, MA, Donald (Donna) Bussiere of Coral Springs, FL, Dr. Debra (Jorge) Pacheco of Lutz, FL, and Dara Bettencourt of Tampa FL; grandchildren Zachary, Calvin, Brandy, Derick, Devin, Aubrey, Melissa, Nicole, Jeremy, Dara, Joshua, and Lauren; great grandchildren Dawson, Dillon, Ella, Amelia, Penelope, Joseph ( JB), Jackson, and Jameson.

A Mass of Christian burial for Denis will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 17512 Lakeshore Rd, Lutz, FL 33558. Interment at Florida National Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Denis’ name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
