Mr. David Peck Bowman

Dave was born on August 19, 1953, in Columbus, OH. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and

the University of Cincinnati. Dave worked at Cincinnati Milacron at the Wilmington, Oakley, and South

Carolina Plants from 1973 to 1994. He then worked at the Progress Lighting facility in Cowpens, South

Carolina from 1994 until 2000. Dave joined the Mettler Toledo Company in Spartanburg, SC. He was the materials manager there until 2004 when he joined the Tampa division. He retired on December 30, 2020.

Dave was preceded in death by father, Richard Bowman; brother, Robert Bowman; two uncles and one aunt. Dave left behind his best friend and wife, Janet Hussey Bowman, whom he married in 1980. He is also survived by his son, David Richard Bowman (Dana Gasparich) of Charleston, SC; daughter, Jessica Ann Bozolo (John) of Trinity, FL; grandson, David Elliott Bowman; mother, June Peck Bowman of Cape May in Wilmington, OH; brothers, Steve Bowman (Eileen Taylor) of Wilmington, OH and Mark Bowman (Carol Stuart) of Mason, OH. He also left behind two uncles, one aunt, 14 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nieces and nephews. Dave adored his family and could often not speak of his love for them without getting emotional.

Dave loved music and was a highly talented pianist and tenor vocalist in church choirs in Ohio and South Carolina. Dave especially enjoyed listening to the music group Chicago. Celebrate his life as you listen to their music.

Blount & Curry Funeral Home in Oldsmar, FL and the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro, OH are serving the family. There will be a private graveside service in Hillsboro, OH for Dave at the convenience of his family. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to Ohio Living Cape May (175 Cape May Dr. Wilmington, OH 45117) or to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation (12902 Magnolia Dr. MBC-FOUND Tampa, FL 33612).
