My first true love. So sorry to hear of his passing

My thoughts and prayers are with Chris’ entire family, especially his wife and daughter. Chris was my retirement rep and went out of his way to accommodate me for our yearly meeting while I was on medical leave. There wasn’t a conversation that didn’t include his family - he was definitely a family man. Rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed. 

To Chris’ family...I heard about his passing, but I am just seeing his obituary now. I was shocked, as he was so young.  He was always so nice and accommodating to me, who,  had a different rep from way back when.  He was so warm and pleasant to all at my Pinellas county school.  I am so very sorry for your loss. I told Chris, had I not gone with my  rep before I met him, I totally would have done business with Chris!  Great guy, and my heart aches for his family.

When he first came to meet me 10 years ago  . We both loved to fish and we hit it off right away . He always remembered his roots coming from a blue collar family  . He always looked out for the working man . I will miss you brother tight lines  . Peace be with you and your family

It was always a pleasure to see Chris here at Tarpon High as our VALIC  rep.  I ran into him at an event in Tampa one Saturday and we got to spend several hours together and even had lunch afterwards.  He was indeed a kind and special person. I will miss him very much.
My thoughts & prayers go out to his family, friends and also to his co-workers.
Thank you Chris for always bringing a smile to my face. 

I will always remember your kindness, helpfulness, and friendliness.  I enjoyed our many conversations and how you always asked about the holiday decorations at my parent's house.  You will always be remembered by many of us at Pinellas County Schools.  

Chris and I worked together a number of years back and he was always so full of humor and had such a great smile. He always had your back. Can’t believe he is gone. My sincere condolences to his wife and daughter. I always enjoyed seeing the pictures he would post of her and his boat. Rest In Peace Chris. You were one of a kind.

I was saddened to hear of Chris’ passing. Chris and I worked together for several years and he was definitely a positive energy on the team. I enjoyed a trip to Tampa to spend the weekend on his boat and enjoyed a meal with Chris and Lisa at a Cuban Restaurant. I live in Colorado so I didn’t get to see Chris as often as I would have liked but kept in touch and we caught up on a business trip to Tampa a couple of years ago... and mostly talked about Sophia and my kids.  You will be missed my friend. Rest In Peace - and blessings & prayers to Lisa, Sophia and family. 

Over the last several years, I had the pleasure of knowing Chris as not only a colleague, but also as a friend.  He had a gift of always being able to bring laughter and energy to wherever he was.  My prayers are with you, Sophia, and your entire family.....God Bless!

I was shocked to learn of Chris’ passing. My heartfelt condolences to the family and many friends.  

Chris was one of the funniest and most pleasant people I've met since he came to our company. He was also very kind and generous, as well as knowledgeable and helpful to anyone who needed it. I will miss seeing him.  

Chris and I back in the day.  My right hand man.  Super guy!  He’ll be greatly missed. 

We were hiking Big Cypress with the Boy Scouts way back when.  It was a 20 mile prep hike.  Chris and I got lost late in the day and we had to sleep away from the troop amongst the gators, snakes and wild boars.  We woke up in the morning and turns out our troop had been 500 yards to the west of us.  Lol!  Suffice it to say our scoutmaster tied a string to Chris and I and him to ensure we didn't get lost again.  He and I played a lot of tennis together (great athlete) and reunited in Gainesville.  Found out he was in Tampa about a year ago.  So glad he got married and had a daughter.  I could see how much he adored her in the Facebook pictures.  I was hoping to start hanging out with him again.  Great guy with a heart of gold!  Sad he's gone.  Until we meet again pal!  God Bless you and your girls.  Charlie Martinez

So shocked and saddened to hear the news of Chris’ passing! While I hadn’t seen him recently, we worked together for several years.  I’ll always remember his wonderful sense of humor, amazing personality, and big heart. The last time I saw him, I made the trip down to Tampa and we hung out over a weekend – good times!  While I never had the pleasure of meeting his daughter,  we continued to stay connected via social media and you could see how she meant the world to Chris. My sincere condolences to Chris’ entire family. He will certainly be missed!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Sophia and the family.  We cannot imagine what you are going thru.  I will miss asking you “how’s my friend Chris” every time I see you.  Our deepest condolences.

I am so sad and shocked to hear of Chris‘s passing into eternal life.  He was my advisor and suggested how to proceed with my finances as if he was talking to a member of his own family.
Whenever we talked he was so proud of his little girl and his wife. Couldn’t say enough about them and he was truly excited about his job and always brought a  smile to my face when I saw him.
May you and your family find the strength to keep his memory alive and be able to share the good times you had together.

I was so sorry and sad to hear of the loss of Chris. He brought non-stop laughter and fun during the many years we worked together. I haven’t seen him in years but always remember his big heart and desire to make everyone around him happy.  I hope he’s at peace now. I’m sorry as family members, you have to carry the grief.  My prayers are with you. 

I am a teacher and Chris was my financial rep. helping me plan for retirement one day.  He was a friend.  Really loved talking to him, he showed my husband and I pictures of his daughter and was so proud of her and his wife.  Praying for his family to find strength and peace. I believe he is in heaven next to Jesus!  

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Chris.  My heart just breaks for his Wife, daughter and family.  Chris was such a wonderful and patient advisor for well over 10 years.   He guided me through retirement and helped introduce me to the financial market.   Chris‘ dedication, smile and patience will truly be missed.  May God hold you in his hands through this very difficult time.

I’m sadden to learn, my friend and classmate has passed away. I will forever remember him as friend I may never have met, had it not been for our time together in class. I will always treasure that time and never forget him. My condolences to his wife and daughter, and other family members. God bless! 

I knew Chris both as a USF student and Lambda Chi brother but also as graduates together who lived together for our first years after school..  he was kind and gave of himself when asked and enjoyed being social and life of the party.  While many years have passed and our lives have gone in different directions I cherish the times I spent with Chris and the light he brought to the room.

Memorial Service

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Sandra Crowell. Chris is survived by his wife Lisa Circhirillo Crowell, daughter Sophia, his brother Jeremy Crowell (Michelle), his sisters Lisa Yates (Deron), Deborah Lynn Landoskey (Alexis), Deborah Ann Perez and many nieces and nephews.
