81, of Plant City, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, Nov 17th at Melech Hospice House. Chuck was born in Avon Park, FL to Henry and Myrtle Campbell. He served three years with the National Guard right after high school. He was a firefighter for over 35 years with the City of Tampa and Pasco County. He was a paramedic, Chief of Rescue, and Chief of Operations throughout his career. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Plant City and The Tampa Retired Firefighters Association, Inc. Chuck loved volunteering his time at his church. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Betty Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; children: Kim (Jimmy) Collins, Judi (Vic) Driskell, Kris Howard, Kay (Joe) Hoppes, and Steve (Allison) Campbell; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; step-daughters, Pam (Scott) Edmonson, and Marsha (Terry) Futch and brothers, Tommy, and Keith Campbell; sisters, Joette Kinsey, and Janice Byrd; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Sunday, Nov 25th from 5-6pm at First Baptist Church in Plant City with a memorial service to follow at 6pm.
