Cameron, Carol Lynn 77, of Tampa, passed away Aug 9, 2016. Survived by foster sons, Jesse (Rosalinda) and Manny (Shanna) Wilson; and grandchildren, Annarose, Bentley, and Caleb; siblings, Reid and Dr. Fred Cameron; nieces and nephews, Joanne Crum, Lisa Dean, Lindsey, Nathan and Paul Cameron. Born in KS, she moved to FL and graduated Plant City High, 1957, dental hygiene school, Univ. of Louisville, 1959, and Univ. of South Florida, 1964. Carol worked as a hygienist, teacher, and became the first female IBM sales rep in Tampa before opening Sign of the Fish Christian bookstore, 1975-2005. She doubted her faith until accepting Jesus Christ as her personal savior in 1972, after seeking evidence and asking God to show Himself (see author Francis Schaeffer; Rev 3:20). Carol dedicated her life to mentoring and strengthening others faith, and enjoyed teaching Bible study, volunteer work in prison ministry, politics, traveling, and knitting. Memorial service at Bayside Community Church, 3333 Bayshore Blvd, Tampa, FL 2:00pm Sat, Aug 20. In lieu of flowers contribute to Bayside or Samaritan’s Purse.
