Mr. Bruce Gene Shelly

SHELLY, Bruce G. age 81, of Temple Terrace, passed away on June 25, 2014. He was born in Wadsworth, OH, to Wilmer and Emma Shelly on Feb. 16, 1933. Bruce graduated from high school in Boyertown, PA, and graduated in Business Administration from Bluf-fton College in Bluffton, OH. After serving the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a cryptographer in Okinawa, he married his wife Marilyn on Aug. 30, 1957 in Gomer, OH. He was a Nationwide insurance agent in Bluffton, OH, for 31 years, earning membership into the Nationwide President's Club. Bruce was an active member of the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club and The National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors. Bruce is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Janet (James) Donigan of Tampa, Randall (Allison) Shelly of Concord, MA, Julie (Edwin) Brockman of Wesley Chapel; grandchildren, Emma (Thiago) Shelly, Amanda Shelly, Mackenzie Donigan, Lainey Donigan, Daley Donigan, Andrew Brockman; his great-granddaughter, Olivia Ferazzo; sister, Carol (Verne) Schirch of Harrisonburg, VA; and brother, Robert (Lorrie) Shelly of Hendersonville, NC. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 14, at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church in Tampa at 10:30 am. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2 pm, following the memorial service.
