Beverly May Berry

BERRY, Beverly May, of Tampa, was born on January 14, 1937 in Kankakee, IL to the late Laverne Winterroth and Eva Weaver Winterroth. She went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2015 at the age of 78 years old. Prior to relocating to Florida 29 years ago, Beverly worked for the Carpenter’s 496 Trust Fund and was a saleswoman for Avon. She retired from the University of South Florida Small Business Development Center after many faithful years of service. Beverly was a Methodist by faith and a member of Palma Ceia Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, going to the casino, shopping and traveling. She was an example to many as she courageously fought cancer for 23 years. Beverly leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Robert E. Berry; her daughter, Cathy (John) Mickow; her sons, Steve (Nicky) Berry and Mark (Susan) Berry; grandchildren, Kirsten, Lauren, Michaela, Robert, Sean and Zachary. Also surviving is her sister Patricia Walters. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 10, 2015 from the Carrollwood Chapel of Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4-8 PM.
