Betty J. Smith

SMITH, Betty Abbott 89, of Lutz, Fl went home to be with our Lord on April 24, 2018. Born in Dade City, Fl, and a longtime resident of Lutz. She graduated from Hillsborough High School Class of 1956. She dropped out in the 12th grade to get married and had 2 children then after 6 years, she went back to high school and graduated. She was a member of Seminole Heights Baptist Church for 83 years. Betty is survived by her daughters, Katherine Stier and Susan Smith; grandson and three great grandchildren, and a brother in law, Tom Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max of 64 years and a granddaughter. She enjoyed being in her front yard as she waved to the people as they passed by. Betty and her late husband had enjoyed traveling and walking trails of State Parks. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:00am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Fl. The family will receive friends from 9-10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
