1st Lt. USAF (Ret.), 93, passed away Apr. 19, 2016. Born in Rochester, NY to Garson and Fannie White, Bernie enlisted in the Army Air Corps during WWII and served as navigator/bombardier on B-17 Flying Fortresses. He was highly decorated, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He retired from the Air Force in 1969 and moved the family to Tampa. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Tampa College in 1979. Predeceased by sister Gertrude (Arthur) Drucker, Silver Springs, MD; sister Joan Marinucci, Rochester, NY. Survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Betty; son Tony (Mary Ann), Marietta, GA; son Andrew of Tampa; 14 nieces & nephews. Interment at Florida National Cemetery.
