I’m still in disbelief ~ still in shock ~ but I know that you walked through the gates of heaven in the Marine Corps way, in your dress blues looking handsome as ever.  I know you’ll forever watch over all of us alongside grandma, grandpa, & Tio Victor. You were the BESTEST dad, grandpa, husband, Tio, & friend to so many. Frank Day (Jeni's dad) and I (Peggy Day) met him during a visit to see Jeni and Sal and kids in mid-2000's! Art as he was introduced to us, was a very dignified man and quite savvy! Very warm person. He and Janie made an awesome couple. R.I.P. dear Art!

This is hard for so many different reasons but for me this is hard because you were the person I went to when I was feeling my weakest you were the one I talked to when I really needed to talk to to someone. I love you Tio and I will never forget our talks. Rest easy Marine 

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.
