Richter, Anna M Dandar, age 94, of Tampa, passed away June 13, 2019. Anna “Ann” was the last surviving sibling of 8 children born in Toledo, OH. She moved to Tampa in 1956, where she met and married Lawrence W Richter Jr. in 1960. He preceded her in death in 2005. Anna believed being a catholic meant sharing her time and talents with others. This was apparent in her love for her family and these organizations where she was a volunteer; Incarnation Catholic Church, ICCW, Columbiettes, Eight & Forty, founding member of St. Therese Byzantine Catholic Church, and charter member of American Legion Auxiliary #152. Her involvement included holding a variety of offices, including President of ALA for multiple years and State President of the Eight & Forty. In her later years Anna assisted ALA, using her sewing and craft skills to make items for soldiers and veterans. She made over 1400 baby hats for St. Joseph’s Hospital and blankets for the VA and children’s organizations. Anna is survived by
her daughter, Anna Smith and her husband Raymond Dale; granddaughters, Caitlin and Christine Smith, and many nieces, nephews and supportive friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 4-6 pm at Blount & Curry West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr. Tampa, where a prayer service will be held at 5pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, 2019, 10:00 am at Incarnation Catholic Church, 8220 W Hillsborough Ave. Tampa. Burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
