Born on December 7, 1933, in Guines, Cuba, Ambrosio lived there until moving to San Jose de Las Lajas and opening a successful family business, Blanco y Hermano. On February 14, 1955, he married Gladys Vera, and the two would lean on each other through the years as they fled Cuba’s communist regime, moved to the United States, and, most impressively, raised two children, Hector and Gladys.
A true family man, Ambrosio was the rock of the family. Though the strong and silent type, Ambrosio knew exactly what to say to get a laugh or smile, and could often be caught singing. A cowboy movie connoisseur, apple pie aficionado, and domino master, Ambrosio lived for the simplicities in life. He will be remembered for his kind heart, caring spirit, and strong will.
Ambrosio will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 65 years, Gladys, son Hector and wife Patricia, daughter Gladys and husband Robert, four grandchildren Collin, Elisabeth, Kimberly, Anthony, and by many other loving family and friends.
