Allie graduated from Sedalia High School in Sedalia, KY and attended Murray State University in Murray, KY where she met and married her husband, Charlies (Porky) Archer. They lived in St. Petersburg, FL where he proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. Upon discharge from the service, they moved to Tampa, FL.
Allie belonged to an International Sorority: Beta Sigma Phi Lambda (Master Chapter). She worked for Aetna Insurance for close to 40 years where she became their first female claims adjuster in the State of Florida. Allie was also a world traveler, traveling to over 46 countries on group tours with her closest friends and/or sorority sisters. Her favorite trip being Africa. In her spare time, she enjoyed working the Bucs stadium, old and new, and bowling. When she could no longer bowl, Allie did not give up and joined a Wii bowling league at Concordia Village, where she lived. Allie was an avid Bucs and Rays fan. Also a Lightening fan. Allie was an avid reader of the Bible and enjoyed reading mysteries and biographies. She was a life-long learner of everything she found interesting, which was just about everything.
Allie is survived by her grandson, Bradley D. Archer of Zephyrhills, FL.; sisters, Jeanette Moore of Boca Raton , FL. and Dianne Costlow of Louisville, KY.; nieces, Lisa Troutman and Jeannie Johnson of Calhoun, KY., Susan Astarita of Jupiter, FL., Felice Pierce of Bloomington, IN and Jill Whitfield of Louisville, KY.; nephew, Jim Osher of St. Louis, MO.; along with many loving friends.
