VAN HORN, Allen A. passed away February 18, 2015. He was born June 27, 1933 in Mason City, Iowa to Louis Van Horn and Mata Schrader. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in Civil Engineering. Allen worked on major transportation projects throughout the US. He moved to Florida in 1983 and settled in Tampa in 1992. He was involved in church activities. He is survived by wife, Julia; sister, Mary Lou Rogers (Jim), of Garner, Iowa; daughter, Sharon Ward (Bryan); grandchildren, Marshall and Connor Ward, both of Orlando. Allen was preceded in death by son, Peter Van Horn. A Memorial Service will held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at Northdale Lutheran Church and School, 15709 Mapledale Blvd, Tampa, FL 33624. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northdale Lutheran Church and School.
