SCHROEDER, Allan Taylor, age 71, of Temple Terrace, FL passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Allan was born March 27, 1946 in Madison, WI, the son of Barbara Janet and James Schroeder. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Al served in the US Army from 1969-71. He worked as a Claims Specialist for Fireman's Fund-Allianz; and later became Founder and CEO of Fairway Claims, LLC specializing in mediations and trial monitoring. In his spare time, Al was an avid golfer and enjoyed volunteering as a Big Brother and tutor for the Hillsborough County Literacy Program. He also coached little league, soccer and basketball in Wisconsin and Tampa. A man of profound integrity, he was much loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Janet and James. Survivors include his wife, Katy (Wangler) Schroeder; daughter, Cassie; sons, Joseph and Gregory; brothers, James and Richard; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Lung Transplant Team at Tampa General Hospital and the Ruby Team at LifePath Hospice. Visitation from 6-8 pm, Monday, November 6th at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, Temple Terrace. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 am, Tuesday, November 7th at Mary Help of Christians, Tampa. Interment with Military Honors at 11 am, Wednesday, November 8th at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
