Alfredo Gonzalez

Alfredo was born on August 12, 1930 in Esperanza, Cuba in the province of Las Villas. He served in the Cuban Military Airforce from the age of 18 until he left for the United States in January 1960. He Married Consuelo De La Fe Brito on November 16, 1962. They had two children, Alfredo Gonzalez and a daughter, Vivian Gonzalez.

Alfredo loved to travel and loved being near the ocean. He also loved to cook international dishes and had a vast collection of recipes. He liked to make soap, beer, wine, enjoyed carpentry and refinishing furniture. He was an animal lover and was known to raise baby birds that had fallen from their nests. He loved to read all kinds of books, but especially enjoyed reading about history and war stories. He loved to joke, laugh and spend time with family.

He is survived by his wife Consuelo and his two children Alfredo and Vivian, and his brother Francisco Jesus Gonzalez.

A Funeral Service will occur 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at the Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610. Interment to follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
