Agnes Virginia Cook

Agnes Virginia Cook, 95, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024. She was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on March 19, 1929, to the late Michael and Genevieve Cook. She is also predeceased by brothers John, Gene, and Edward, and sisters Marie and Dolores (Label). She is survived by sister, Frances Sproul (Jack) and many nieces and nephews.

Agnes graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Tampa, Class of 1947. She worked for Delta Air Lines as a Reservation Agent for thirty-two years. She loved to travel and did so extensively to visit family. She was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church before moving to Trinity. She loved playing cards and was a member of OWLS (Older, Wiser, Lively Seniors) card club. And she loved the TV show, The Price Is Right, in which she was an expert.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to plant memorial trees in Agnes’ name.

A visitation for Agnes will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Blount&Curry Funeral Home @ Garden of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610.
